The Landmark Group mission

Keeping in mind the seriousness of the issue, Landmark Group has adopted Diabetes as part of its CSR initiative. Through the 'Beat Diabetes' initiative, our mission is to create awareness & educate people about Diabetes, along with ways and means of coping with this condition.

To commemorate World Diabetes Day on November 14, the initiative was kicked off in the UAE where the Group brought the community together through a walkathon at Oasis Centre. With free blood sugar testing offered, education pamphlets were also distributed across all the Landmark Group stores in the UAE.

The 'Beat Diabetes' movement will be spread to all countries where Landmark Group currently operates. Here are some of our recent activites to Beat diabetes.

Beat Diabetes Initiatives
Join the Walk was the first Beat Diabetes initiative where the Group brought the community together through a walkathon at Oasis Centre. Over 5000 people from across UAE joined the walk to help spread awareness about this condition. Free educational pamphlets were distributed amongst all walkers and across all Landmark Group stores in the UAE.
Take the Test was initiated to act on the belief that diabetes if detected early, could be treated along with lifestyle changes to greatly reduce the risks associated. The Group organized free blood glucose testing at Oasis Centre in the UAE with results handed out on the spot by trained professionals and those with a high blood sugar count were advised to consult their doctors.
Enjoy the Music kicked off with an exclusive concert Lahan Al Hayat or Lyrics for Life including a dance recital by FUSION from South Africa also serving as a fundraiser, where the proceeds of over AED 150,000 were handed over to the UAE Red Crescent Society towards diabetes awareness and research.
